Summary

To show the municipalities in Chuuk Lagoon.

Description

This dataset shows the municipalities in Chuuk Lagoon. The layer was created by Island Research & Education Initiative (iREi) (2020) from the most recent base layer. Islands were classified into municipalities as per information in the Chuuk State Constitution. Only the main islands were classified, and all low-lying islands were left undefined due to uncertain status or lack of information. Note that boundaries shown in this map are not definite. This map does not constitute any sort of recommendation, claim, or endorsement.

Data quality report - Conceptual consistency
Data quality measure reference
Measure description
Topological requirements include the following: lines must begin and end at nodes, lines must connect to each other at nodes, lines do not extend through nodes, left and right areas are defined for each line element and are consistent throughout the file, and lines representing the limits of the file (neatline) are free of gaps.

Data quality report - Completeness omission
Data quality measure reference
Measure description
The completeness of the data is unknown but should be consistent with the level of information normally shown on U.S. Geological Survey 1:24,000-scale topographic maps.

Data quality report - Quantitative attribute accuracy
Data quality measure reference
Measure description
Attribute accuracy is tested by manual comparison of the source with hard copy plots and/or symbolized display of the digital line graph on an interactive computer graphic system. Through inspection and queries, attempts were made to ensure completeness and consistency of attribute values.

Data quality report - Absolute external positional accuracy
dimension horizontal
