To show the locations of stream discharge on Kosrae.
This dataset shows the natural outflow locations on Kosrae, defined as points where streams and rivers discharge into the lagoon. The data set was created by Island Research & Education Initiative (iREi) (2019) by identifying the points where streams and rivers from 1:25,000-scale U.S. Geological Survey topographic maps (2001) intersect with the most recent shoreline of Kosrae.

The dataset is believed to be complete at the time of creation. However, offices (especially smaller organizations) do move and locations may have to be updated.
The attributes are believed to be accurate. However, it is possible that buildings might have been mis-identified in the imagery.
Field verification of buildings using hard copy map.
No absolute accuracy is not known but is assumed to be within few meters.
Visual comparison with WorldView-3 satellite imagery.
1. Created points by intersecting river and shoreline shapefiles; 2. Formatted attribute table.
